Ploughing Match, Farm and Garden Produce Show and Merriment at the Stubble Stomp...

On Saturday 4th October, Silsoe YFC hosted the annual ploughing match and farm and garden produce show. It was a fantastic day (apart from the weather) and was well supported by the club! There were a number of classes, including cookery, flower arranging, home made alcohol, jams and mincemeat and much more! Woburn did fantastically and came Second in the Farm and Garden Produce show and sixth in the Ploughing, which meant an overall place of Third!!! Special mentions must go to Charlotte and her winning club display, Roger and his ploughing, Clare for coming overall second in the farm and garden produce show and Helen for learning how to juggle lettuce. The day finished with a stubble stomp (a party in a stubble field) which was a great night!

Talk from the Mayor of Bedford

Our first meeting of October brought us to the Mayor of Bedford's parlour. It was a really interesting talk and a brilliant turn out. Some of us even got to dress up for the evening! Many more fun meetings to come as well as the ploughing match this Saturday!
