Who are we?
Woburn YFC are one of 7 clubs in Bedfordshire that host competitions and events for 10-26 year olds. We have Woburn meetings every Wednesday around the county taking part in different activities and attending different talks as well as prepping for competitions. To ask any questions or enquire about joining, please contact our club chairman Clare Kennedy on 07752 123312 or get in touch on Facebook here. What is Woburn YFC?

Woburn Young Farmers' Club is a youth organisation for anybody age 10 - 26 with an interest in the country side, but you definitely don't have to be a farmer to be a Woburn Young Farmer.

We are part of the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs (NFYFC), a youth organisation with over 23,000 members and 657 clubs.

Woburn is one of seven clubs in Bedfordshire. There is lots of rivalry between clubs at county competitions when we compete to win prizes and represent county at Eastern Area and National Level.

Within the county the annual highlight is the Young Farmers' Rally, an event in May with up to 5000 visitors, including many members of the public, hosted by a different club each year. The rally has competitions including cookery, flower arranging, equine, tractor handling, handicrafts, countryside challenge, fishing, photography and much more.

As a club we always look forward to the most important events in the main ring which can be anything from a wheelbarrow race to obstacle course to sumo wrestling, and Woburn always seems to win! Also there are the finals of the tug-of-war which our men have one for the past 5 years! The day finishes with a float parade and flower and water fight, but the young farmers will be back for the rally after party.

Our members who are over 18 are able to go away with thousands of other members from across the country for the national annual convention for three days in April. Host towns have included Blackpool and Torquay, and with the finals of national competitions and famous performers each night, it's always a highpoint.

The club is run by members for the members, so everybody in the club has their say at what meetings we should have, how we should enter county competitions and how the club is run. That way we're always doing something interesting and fun, because it's our choice what we do.

We meet every Wednesday at 7.30 at Eversholt Village Hall. Our meetings in the last year have included Zumba, Rock climbing, Powerchair Football talk, Bowling, Car Rally and Raft Building.

Every other Friday we have club socials which are really relaxed, we might watch a sport match, go bowling or just go to the pub, and obviously these are always well attended!
