On Bonfire night, our advisory hosted a fireworks, dinner and games evening for the club, hosted at Park Farm. Families and friends were invited and we had a great turn out of nearly 60 people.
Some of our older and not mature members of the club put on a fantastic fireworks display- one that could rival Ampthill's annual event. Amazingly there were no casualties- just a few added bird scarers to ensure the bangs were loud enough!
We were provided with a lovely warm meal of bangers and mash- which was needed as it was one of the coldest nights of the year.
The club participated in pumpkin carving, apple bobbing and flour hunting games- all of which were great fun.
A big thank you to the advisory for their continues support and help, and for hosting such an enjoyable meeting- which I am sure may become and annual thing :)

Woburn are quiz champions again....
County hosted their annual County Quiz at Biggleswade football club on the 29th October, a sought after competition which counts towards to the competition cup presented at the AGM. As per usual, Woburn were keen to win this, and entered a Junior team, a Senior team and a Social team- made up of Rex (a past chairman) and a giggling group of girlies.
After 10 rounds including music, sport, disgusting salty chocolate and the weekly news, Woburn won the Senior competition and the juniors came second in the junior competition. A fantastic result for both teams in what is a very exciting and competitive year for the club.
Thanks to Matt, Oonagh and Dave for organising the quiz and helping on the night!

Nice Shoes.....
On the 22nd October, Woburn had their weekly meeting, in which we learnt to make horseshoes. As it turns out, this was not as easy as Jay the farrier made it out to be. After a lot of miss hits, sparks flying, family rivalry and bizarre questions, woburn had made some horseshoes. A great and really interesting meeting, with thanks to Jay for his demonstrations and tuition!
